{"id":634,"date":"2018-04-01T00:25:15","date_gmt":"2018-04-01T00:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=634"},"modified":"2018-04-01T00:25:15","modified_gmt":"2018-04-01T00:25:15","slug":"school-of-leaders-march-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=634","title":{"rendered":"School of Leaders &#8211; March 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The School\u00a0 . . . of Fish?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Cursillo, as in our Christian faith, to be a <strong>Leader means to be a true and authentic Follower.<\/strong>\u00a0 To be a <strong>Follower means to be a true and natural Leader<\/strong>.\u00a0 The first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Our Lord Jesus became as a slave and washed his Disciples\u2019 dirty, smelly feet.\u00a0 He commanded them to do likewise.<\/p>\n<p>When He began his public ministry, He promised those Disciples that they would become <strong>fishers of men<\/strong>.\u00a0 He taught them in the Faith and offered them the Sacraments as visible signs of His ever-lasting presence and love. \u00a0They became the followers who, by sharing His love in those Sacraments, would lead their friends and family in <strong>their Movable Square Yards<\/strong> to become His followers.\u00a0 Those followers then became leaders, who would lead <strong>their <\/strong>friends to Christ.\u00a0 In an <strong>unbroken line of leaders and followers<\/strong>, Christ has been building His Kingdom <strong>one person at a time, the followers becoming leaders.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This makes perfect sense: the <strong>fish become the fishermen<\/strong> &#8211; &#8211; the followers become the leaders. \u00a0There is security in numbers, and the school of fish lives for the greater good of the others.\u00a0 <strong>Sounds like the School of Leaders!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>School of Leaders<\/strong> will meet on <strong>April 10, at 7 pm in the Parish Center of St. Joseph\u2019s Parish in Freeburg, IL.<\/strong> \u00a0We meet on the <strong>second Tuesday of each month<\/strong>, May 8, June 12, and July 10, at locations to be announced in the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Day Prayer chain.\u00a0 <strong>Our 4<sup>th<\/sup> Day gained 34 friends this year!\u00a0 Please join the Leaders!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Romans 1: 12:<\/strong> \u201c<em>What I mean is that both you and I will be helped at the same time, you by my faith and I by yours.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>De Colores and Peace!<\/p>\n<p>John I Schaberg<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The School\u00a0 . . . of Fish?
