{"id":841,"date":"2019-04-07T23:56:07","date_gmt":"2019-04-07T23:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=841"},"modified":"2019-04-07T23:56:08","modified_gmt":"2019-04-07T23:56:08","slug":"school-of-leaders-march-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=841","title":{"rendered":"School of Leaders &#8211; March 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Well, it was nice to use the extra\n\u201cspare time\u201d to pour myself into Novena, Formation, Men\u2019s Weekend #38, and\nlearning how to be an Altar Server at my Parish.&nbsp; (As a convert, that was not part of my grade\nschool experience!)&nbsp; But I don\u2019t want to\nlive in the past. <strong>By the time you read\nthis, <em>\u201cright now\u201d will be \u201ca few weeks\nago<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp; So let\u2019s look ahead . . . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That was my frame of mind . . . .\nuntil last night.&nbsp; I finally\nworked up the courage to watch Mel Gibson\u2019s 2004 masterpiece, \u201cThe Passion of\nthe Christ.\u201d&nbsp; Watching a film last\nnight, from 15 years ago, about a time 2000 years ago \u2013 how\nis that NOT living in the past? To put it simply, <strong>what Christ suffered 2000 years ago <em>is\n\u201cright now<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp; Jesus\u2019 agony, from\nthe Garden to the Cross, for my sake and yours, will never again, for me, be\nsomething long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away. <strong>The awesome love of our God for us is . . .&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>right\nhere and right now<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jesus\nchose us by name, as he chose his apostles<\/strong>,\nto witness his love to those in our environments.&nbsp; <strong>Let\u2019s\nlearn how<\/strong>, to the <strong>best of our\nability<\/strong> and to the <strong>depths of our\nsouls.&nbsp; <\/strong>This is what the <strong>School of Leaders<\/strong> is all about &#8211; <strong>praying, learning, sharing (Piety!
