{"id":968,"date":"2020-03-30T15:06:18","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T15:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=968"},"modified":"2020-03-30T15:06:18","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T15:06:18","slug":"school-of-leaders-march-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bellevillecursillo.org\/?p=968","title":{"rendered":"School of Leaders &#8211; March 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>We\nARE &#8211; &#8211; the Fantastic Four!!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Does God give us superpowers?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; Yes, if we let\nHim!&nbsp; Along my Cursillo Journey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>He\n     stretches me<\/strong> . . . . to do things I never\n     wanted to do, to go places I never asked to go.&nbsp; I am not a natural leader \u2013 but He\u2019s led\n     me to deliver Rollos, serve as Rector, chair the School of Leaders, take\n     active roles in the Parish Ministries and the Knights of Columbus, and to\n     meet people I never would\u2019ve encountered \u2013 especially Jesus!&nbsp; <strong><em>Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong>He\n     makes me burn with the joy of faith . . . <\/strong>to evangelize, to share the witness of my life, to\n     light up my moveable square yard, to keep those around me on fire!&nbsp; <strong><em>Johnny Storm, Human Torch.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong>He\n     gives me strength<\/strong> . .\n     . .&nbsp; makes me a rock, enables me to\n     do things beyond my own power.&nbsp; <strong><em>Ben\n     Grimm, The Thing<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong>He\n     provides an invisible force . . . . <\/strong>&nbsp;the power of prayer &#8211; to persevere on the\n     Journey, to act without drawing attention, to protect those I love, to do\n     things that only the Holy Spirit can do and only the Holy Spirit can\n     know.&nbsp; <strong><em>Sue Storm, The\n     Invisible Woman.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The Fantastic Four had to work as a\nteam to defeat Dr. Doom.&nbsp; What powers has\nGod given you?&nbsp; Are you letting your\nsuperpowers work to bring Jesus to your world and defeat doom?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, <strong><em>there are more\nthan four of us<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; our <strong>School of\nLeaders<\/strong> will meet <strong>on April&nbsp;14, May12, <\/strong>and<strong> June 9<\/strong> at<strong> 7 p.m. <\/strong>at <strong>St. Joseph\u2019s Parish in Freeburg, IL.&nbsp;\n<\/strong>&nbsp;Please join your fellow\nLeaders in faith!<strong>&nbsp; <\/strong>(And, with any luck, this could be my\nlast column \u2013 you\u2019re freeeee!!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Romans\n1: 12<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> \u201c<em>What I mean is that both you and I will be helped at the same time, you\nby my faith and I by yours.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Colores and Peace!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John I Schaberg<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We ARE &#8211; &#8211; the Fantastic Four!!
